Despite the snazzy title, this post is less about listening – well, for you, anyway. This post is all about me listening to you.
“But, Uncle Odd, how can you listen to us? You write the blogs and put what you like – I don’t even think you’re my Uncle”.
Well, you’re right about the writing, I do put what I like. With any of this content, I put whatever I feel like, including Scrap Metal. But what I want to hear at the moment is what you want to see more of in a game.
Gaming is such a fickle culture. Not all gamers are – you get one player on a game, no hell breaks loose. You put three friends on the same game – fun is had, but it’s not exactly hell breaking loose. You throw those friends in amongst a sea of other players of various ages and backgrounds, and somehow hell is loose, and angry too.
It’s not about the individual, it’s all about the culture, but the culture is defined by the individual. Kind of a Circle of Life thing, but with less Zebra’s.
As you all know, I am attempting to make a game that is a tabletop strategy trading card game that links to a video game version – kind of complex when I put it like that. If you play strategy, or tabletop, or trading card or just plain video games in general, what is it that makes you think “this game is the best game ever“. What feature do you like the most?
Let me know – I want to make my project as perfect as possible – there are so many ways that this can go wrong, and I love this project. Not ashamed, either. And I want you to love it, too. So, let me know – drop me a line using the contact form below – I don’t send spam, in case you wonder.
