It has been an interesting week, with many mental miles covered, although sometimes it feels more like I’m going in circles.
With my projects, and with many projects that involve creating a new brand of tabletop game, it’s difficult to know what you can and cannot do. It’s kind of like trying to re-invent the wheel without being “too round”, or in this case, similar to something that is big enough and works well anyway.
Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of the Big Bang Theory (an excellent show, by the way), and it’s awesome looking through all of the games that are displayed. I’m looking to get more involved with tabletop gaming in general, and am most likely going to be looking at getting a group of friends together to play more games.
Surprisingly, for someone as interested in the subject as I am, I have incredibly little amount of actual experience.
There has been more reading this week – mostly, the Dungeons and Dragons: Dungeon Master‘s Handbook. It’s chocked full of interesting ideas, but it’s hard to apply them to Scrap Metal right now.
Other than that, it’s been a slow week. Sorry, folks, it’s a bit of a dull one. Hopefully I’ll have something more to put up for Scrap Metal soon – I know there are a few people who are interested in the game, I just need a few things to settle into place before work can continue.
Enjoy your week, everybody! And remember to use the affiliate link if you plan on shopping – adds nothing to your total, it just gives me a little bonus courtesy of Amazon.
