I have not made it any secret that over the past few weeks, I have been reading through various different tabletop gaming rule books for ideas on systems that I can implement in Scrap Metal. After trying to read my way through some very meaty books, I am now feeling a little on the burned out side. And quite rightly so! Rome was not built in a single day, and with such a rich variety of information to try to take on board, it’s no easy task.
I want to create a fair and varied game that will last for a long time. To try and get the best out of my own work, I will be working on several minor projects to grasp a number of different rules in the mean-time. This does mean that it will be even longer until Scrap Metal is next updated, but the site is to be more professional than this. As I’m sure I’ve mentioned previously, this site is for spit-balling ideas and showing my progress, Scrap Metal is for showing the completed works.
You may have noticed the image that I included with my work today – just a little evidence for those of you who are not convinced that I am still working on the project. Ideas are wonderful things, but poorly timed – they never seem to arrive until it is not possible to record any ideas or do any work. But still, I persevere…
