I’ve dropped the “Update!” and the date from the title – feels like about time I should let it go, since every post is an update.
As you may have seen, there is a new post on www.scrapmetaltcg.wordpress.com, featuring a new style of artwork – 3D rendered imaging. Please, feel free to follow the link and see.
So, what is the point of the post today? Well, after looking into utilising better systems and software for work such as this, I decided I need some better systems and software for work such as this. Exactly.
The software I am currently using is freeware that crashes frequently, meaning that I can’t get too involved – it has no autosave or recovery features, so I have to save or it can fall out of existence. This has happened three or four times now.
I use the site to show you all what work I am doing. I think it’s going pretty well, and once the game is set up it will be available through there, however it gets finalised.
I have to ask, if you have any shopping to do on Amazon, please use the affiliate link for the site. There is a lot that needs to be funded, and I still need a roof over my head.
Moving swiftly on (because I hate internet pan-handling), as far as the game is concerned I have turned a corner. I have reached the stage where I feel it is best to produce something. As a self professed perfectionist, it’s difficult to do, but after working on this game for 14 years, I need something physical. Once this stage complete, I can look into play testing, costs, and finally production.
That’s the plan, anyway…
Just checking something here… If I were to put up an anonymous feedback form on either this site or www.scrapmetaltcg.wordpress.com, would you use it? Maybe you have views, ideas or tips that you want to share, but don’t feel like commenting? Let me know with a private message on Twitter. While there, follow my posts at @Odd_Notes – that’s where all of my site content updates are released.
