I have been shamelessly self-promoting this week, and at this stage I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. If you don’t want me to self promote, visit my site and tell others to do so too – then I won’t have to!
If you follow www.scrapmetaltcg.wordpress.com (and why wouldn’t you, since it’s mostly what I talk about) then you will be aware of the latest post – it involves a new, shiny looking part and the option to provide a name for it.
I have mentioned before that I began making this game originally when I was thirteen, and have been making it on and off again for the past 14 years – the mathmagicians among you will have worked out that I am 27. If so, give yourselves a pat on the back, you earned it. As it turns out, although thirteen year old me made an excellent game, I sucked at naming anything. The game was orignally called Robo-Fighter!, which is pretty much all the proof required.
The post that I put up concerns a part originally named “Arm Nails”. That’s right, it’s an arm with some “nails”. They’re more similar to protruding metal spikes than nails, so if you can think of a name that it should be called instead, please visit here, have a good look and a quick think, and share it via Twitter with the hashtag #ScrapMetalTCG and the name you want to give. Easy, right?
Winners will be decided at a future date – I think 10th of June is a good date, right? Is that a birthday of someone you know? Maybe name it after them. I can’t guarantee calling it “Craig Arm” will win, but wouldn’t that be something to tell them?
That’s all the information – if you have an idea for a name, enter the competition for a chance to have it named as you specified.
Work regarding all the other statistics and information is still ticking over – spreadsheets are not interesting to write about, so I won’t blather on there. More stuff to come soon!
