For those of you who have seen my latest posts on Scrap Metal might notice a little something – the 3D images look fantastic, certainly. Look again.
The images look fantastic, until you click on them. Once clicked, the resolution, in my opinion, becomes blocky and horrible. You boys and girls may disagree, but I can’t stand it. I work hard to make the game functional and as cool as possible – if it isn’t 8/16 bit, blocky isn’t cool.
I’m working with a new 3D rendering program called Blendr. It has options coming out of every imaginable orifice, and is a little daunting, but this is what I’ll be using from now on. It means that there will be a little delay in the next post, but I have stats to put together anyway. I should be getting the bones together before the flesh goes on, that’s how it all works, but still…
It looks so pretty.
The competition is still open for naming the New Part, too. Simply visit the site, share on Twitter with the hashtag #ScrapMetalTCG and your suggestion and BOOM! You’ve entered.
So far we have one entry, and what an entry it is too. I’d be happy to see it go through as the proper name, but see what you think and name away – you never know.
