September. Just a few more months, and it will be November, and we all know what that means…
Scrap Metal TCG showing up for a play test at the Loading Bar in London on November 9th!
I’m looking forward to the event. After sadly missing the first opportunity for a play-test at MGPX (there were a lot of other things to do, so I have no hard feelings), I’m really getting pretty excited about this event.
Currently, as you may have seen if you visit www.scrapmetaltcg.com (and why wouldn’t you? It’s lovely there), I am working on showing off the different types of textures and designs that will be used across the different types of parts. These will be more “guidelines” than rules, of course – sometimes, the creative flair just inspires me to do something different. When writing this, all I can think about is making a torso that is also a washing machine. I can’t imagine doing that, but it’s interesting what my brain thinks about doing.
I’m also working on promotional pieces for the site – mainly images to be used as posters, and also a slightly modified logo, which you may have spotted.
If you have a social network that you use, chances are I’m already on it. If not, let me know, and if there is interest I’ll set up a page, simple as, but currently Scrap Metal TCG is set up on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Tumblr. Feel free to follow any of them, and share when you can. If you think Scrap Metal TCG is a good idea, and looks fun, share away – it’s just me working here, and I’m doing my part of course, so let others know – the more the merrier in this case.
Just an update on the business front, I will be contacting local printing companies soon to see if they would be interested in setting up a limited print run for trading cards. Usually, it’s a specialist thing as far as I can tell, but I am pretty new at this.
So, that’s what I’ve been doing in my absence – busy, right? Well, along with a trip to Paris and having a full-time job and a house to run. It’s not easy getting time to work on projects, but that’s what this blog is intending to show – that it isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible.
Have fun, next update will hopefully be sooner this time…
